We were working on food writing in general, and on magazine pitches in particular. As usual, the class pushed me outside of my comfort zone and the pitch turned into an exercise for me in clarifying my tone as a writer, and my intentions for this space.
1 green bell pepper, diced. 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped. 1 cup carrots, shredded. 2 cups 8oz velveta, cubed. Stir in velveta cubes, milk, salt and pepper. Cook and stil until cheese is melted. Serve with a dallop of sour cream. Such a good flavorful soup! Mar 19, 2013.
